At the Bureau of Economic Research, Guy participated in research studies for the Paralyzed Veterans of America and the New Jersey Developmental Disabilities Council that centered on the impact of disability on labor market performance. Other responsibilities included data wharehousing and the provision of data marts for end users. At Virtua Health, he worked in the Quality Management department where he applied economic methods to quality of care issues. These included risk-adjustment of cesarean-section rates, physician profiling, use of patient restraints, and patient satisfaction, to name a few.
Guy also participated in a successful JCAHO accreditation while at Virtua and assisted other departments, including risk management and credentialing, with their data needs. At KMHP, Guy was charged with the production of HEDIS rates for the health plan. He also conducted research on dental utilization among the mentally disabled and provided assistance to other departments with their research needs. At Health Partners, Guy managed the disease management program. As President and CEO of HCQM, he provides consulting services to hospitals and managed care organizations regarding their data, research, and statistical needs.
Additionally, Guy has taught roughly 50 graduate and undergraduate economics classes at Rutgers (Camden and New Brunswick), West Chester University, and Holy Family College.
